Bible Verse Week: 3

FullSizeRender 3

Hello! :) I wanted to share with you this week’s bible verse and just share some things about it and what I think it means!

This week’s bible verse is coming from Psalms 68: 1-3

“1 May God arise, may his enemies be scattered; may his foes flee before him.

2 May you blow them away like smoke– as wax melts before the fire, may the wicked perish before God.

3 But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; May they be happy and joyful.”

“May God arise, may his enemies be scattered; may his foes flee before him.” – As in the the future tense and is in literal sense, that God will rise. God’s enemies as well as the enemies of his people, are said to hate him and all that he is about. (His laws, holiness, and nature.) And his foes, they will flee before him.

“May you blow them away like smoke–“ – May you turn against the enemies, not let them affect you. Let them blow away like smoke.

“As wax melts before the fire, may the wicked perish before God.” – As wax obviously melts when it’s hot, may the enemies be perished before God just as wax does before a fire.

“But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful.” – This is saying may God’s people be righteous and they shall be glad and rejoice when they see God. Which is definitely a time for them to be happy and joyful.

Well, that was it! I really hoped you guys like this little bible verse translation. I’m really enjoying doing this! :) And I hope you do too! Thanks y’all!
